Soufflé Pancakes

Don't ask me why I found myself in Yunlin (雲林縣), but if you find yourself there too, and happen to be in the mood for a luxurious brunch, stop by Fifth Avenue. The soufflé pancakes were fluffy and light-- moist, yet cooked fully--, the strawberries fresh and sweet, and the whipped cream... creamy.. as if it were homemade with heavy cream. Syrup in Taiwan is not anything like you'd find in the States, but the thin mildly perfume-ish sweet glaze is the closest to familiar syrup that I've had in Taiwan. If you're searching for it, you'll taste the slightest eggy flavor in the pancakes, but it will likely be lost in the heavenly mixture of pancake, strawberry, whipped cream, and syrup.
This is supposed to be about food, but I'd be remiss to not mention the floor length windows with marble and teal decor, accented by gold tableware.
Price: $$
(as expected, a bit expensive for Taiwan. This, as with many other meals, was around $300)
Taste: 8/10
